I’m really excited to annouce the official release of the first book ever published entirely devoted to LVA for the treament of Lymphedema, edited by myself and Dr. Giuseppe Visconti.Above all, I’d like to express my gratitude to Mentors, Prof. Jp Hong, Prof. Isao Koshima, Prof. Peter Neligan and Prof. Marzia Salgarello for their forewords. This textbook offers the state-of-art on LVA for the treatment of lymphedema with a superb faculty of World Masters on this topic. Pathophysiology and rationale of LVA, animal model, practical tips and tricks, severity staging and preoperative planning including ultrasound technology, clinical approach to each area of the body and finally physical therapy designed for LVA are included. In particular, intraoperative planning using laser tomography, which is the latest topic, is also included.I would be happy if this book were applied to the treatment of lymphedema practically and effectively in the world.
